What is your teaching assignment at Wright? 

K-5 (Kindergarten )

Jenks High School 

Northeastern State University 

 

What brought you to Wright? 

My daughters transferred to Wright from another Christian school. They loved it so much and I saw so much positive change. I wanted to be part of this wonderful community. 

 

What was your first-ever job?

My first job was at Taco Mayo. It was summer and very hot. They had a mouse mascot outfit that employees would dress up in and stand by the road. My mom told me to refuse to dress in it because of my asthma. Of course, I did it anyway and my momma drove by and somehow knew it was me in the costume. She pulled over and I got in so much trouble. 

 

What do you do in your spare time/special interests/hobbies?  

In my spare time, I enjoy working out at the gym doing Body Combat and Body Pump classes. I have to stay active to keep up with the Kindergarteners, my children, and my grandchildren.

 

Guiding scripture of spiritual thought:  

I pretty much love all of Philippians Ch. 4.  God has always taken care of me.  

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 

5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 

9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 

11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 

12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

  

What else do you want the WCA Community to know about you?  

I am very thankful for the opportunity to work at WCA.  Everyone here is so precious to me. My coworkers are incredibly helpful and kind.  The families I have met have been so sweet and caring.

What one item could you not live without in your classroom? 

My students!!  They make coming to work every day so much fun!  Every day is a new adventure in Kindergarten.
