Chris Rucker, Theater Teacher

Wright Christian Academy’s Spring Play will be premiering on Friday, April, 7th at 7:00 PM. The second showing will be Saturday, April 8th at 7:00 PM. This year, Mr. Rucker and his cast will be performing “Miss Nelson is Missing”.

The play will take place in Wright Christian Academy’s Performing Arts Center. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Wright Christian Academy staff and students may attend at no cost.

The WCA drama students will perform character based skits (friendship, trustworthiness, respect, caring etc.) to the community through schools, churches, and other venues.  These performances will build godly character in the students and allow them to share it with others.  This will also help to prepare the students for public speaking, missions,  and ministry.

Introduction to Drama

This class will be designed for students new to theater.  They will learn basic acting techniques as well as stage production.  Students will become more confident as they learn to focus on relaxation, concentration, energy, stage movement, improvisation, voice inflections, problem-solving and imagination by rehearsing and performing skits and plays to the community.
